Dr. Jason Gilliam

Dr. Jason Gilliam is a Sr. Systems Engineer at Monte Sano Research Corporation (MSRC) in Huntsville, AL where he supports science and technology development programs in the air and missile defense portfolio of the US Army Aviation and Missile Center (AvMC). 

Dr. Gilliam’s professional experience includes 25 years of defense systems research, development, prototyping, and integration.  He began his career in the US Army Aviation and Missile Center (AvMC) on Redstone Arsenal, where he contributed to several key R&D programs as a warheads and lethality SME, advancing to the role of Systems and Warheads Function Chief, then Associate Director overseeing the Propulsion and Structures Division of Technology Development Directorate.  In 2015, he transitioned from government civilian service into industry and served six years as the Warheads and System Integration Department Manager at Dynetics, where he led his team of engineers and technicians in the advancement and integration of weapon system technologies across multiple platforms.  Dr. Gilliam holds a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Physics from Murray State University, a Master’s in Mechanical Engineering from Georgia Tech, and a Ph.D. in Engineering Management from the University of Alabama Huntsville.
