Membership
National Armaments Consortium (NAC) members have access to unparalleled opportunities for collaboration to contribute to defense innovation through their expertise, resources, and shared vision. By joining the NAC, organizations can help shape the future of armaments development, foster meaningful partnerships with government and industry leaders, and help advance our nation’s defense capabilities.
Why Become a Member
- The NAC is one of the largest collaborative organizations working with the DoD to develop armament technologies to support our nation’s security.
- DoD Services and Agencies engaged in armament technology development submit requirements for NAC members to propose technology solutions.
- Collaborate with DoD customers/stakeholders in defining requirements, innovating, and solving technology challenges through prototyping.
- The NAC sponsors multiple collaboration events through the year so members can meet with DoD technology leaders to discuss their opportunities and to share your technology solutions and to network with other NAC members to develop teaming relationships.
- The NAC maintains an extensive Members Only Website that provides networking tools and information on the DoD’s armaments technology strategies, roadmaps, and detailed requirements.
- DOTC issues monthly solicitations, AMTC releases tri-annually, and NEST releases semi-annually – only NAC members can respond to these.
- Using Other Transaction Agreements (OTAs) streamlines the process and accelerating the development and delivery of combat capability.
- Use online training and other information resources to help members navigate the process.
- Access to the 1000+ member database for collaboration and partnering opportunities with traditional large companies, non-traditionals, small businesses, and academia.
- The NAC is partnered with the DoD through three OTAs; the DoD Ordnance Technology Consortium (DOTC), the Aviation and Missile Technology Consortium (AMTC), and the Naval Energetic Systems and Technologies (NEST) Program.
