OUSD R&E Releases National Energetics Plan

This National Energetics Plan details the actions the Department of Defense (DoD) must take to maintain U.S. technical superiority in energetics technology, efficiently transition energetics technologies to operational use, and sustain a robust energetics industrial base and workforce to support DoD requirements. The plan recommends establishing a strategic energetics responsible authority to conduct oversight of, provide strategic direction for, and support development of DoD’s energetics competency.
